Ixsir 2010 Grande Réserve Blanc
Lebanese wine? Yea, it's a thing. And trust us, it's not messing around. This isn't the first of Ixsir's wines that we've tasted, and we haven't been disappointed yet. Check out Blake's review below.
Lychee, pear, hairspray, wet limestone and creek bed jump up and intoxicate your nose from the glass. The oak is still brand new but totally in the background. Vanilla comes out to play big time in this medium-full bodied white. Fully mature, but capable of holding on for another two years, this unctuous blockbuster of a white is not to be missed. 65%/25%/15% Viognier/Sauvignon/Chardonnay is almost like a hypothetical blend of white Rhone/White Bordeaux/White Burgundy. It's different, esoteric, but made in a way which will satisfy the international export market. A winner for sure, and you'd be quite hard pressed to either dislike it, or find something better for under 70 bucks. A super value worth seeking out.
Nothing I rate 92 points will taste better. This is Lebanon kicking more known wine regions ass blindfolded.. Awesome. Get it for under $25 a bottle here.
Drink now through early 2018
